Dubrovnik , the Pearl of the Adriatic, is the most beautiful city along the Adriatic coast. In the Middle Ages, Dubrovnik was an impressive trading power, only rivaled by Venice . Today, Dubrovnik 's walled town and its enticing blue water is a spiritual magnet attracting travelers from around the world.
The architecture of the old town testifies to its glorious past of Venetian influence. The walls of Dubrovnik encircle a unique city where the medieval and modern blend naturally...

Dubrovnik is known as a center for culture and the arts. Throughout the year, people from around the globe come to enjoy Dubrovnik 's concert halls, theaters, art galleries and museums. Of special note, is the renowned Dubrovnik Summer Festival and the Dubrovnik International Film Festival.

For those with a more adventurous spirit, scuba diving, horseback riding or kayaking are conveniently available outside of the city's walls. As well, a day trip by ferry to hike, snorkel and explore the many nearby islands may be an invigorating way to spend the day.

Even with all of these options, finding a table at a nearby café and watching life stroll by may be the best way to gain an appreciation for Dubrovnik and its century old rhythms.
